ALLEGORY is the tale of a saguaro born in captivity who one day escapes its cage and embarks on a terrifying journey through "The Sprawl." The video short was the culmination of Adam's two years documenting urban sprawl in Tucson as a youth writer and photographer for the interdisciplinary arts organization, Voices, Inc.
In the Spring of 2005, The Arizona Daily Starpublished his work in a feature story and photo essay, whose images became the primary inspiration for the video.
INSTALLATION
ALLEGORY is intended to be viewed within an installation projecting in the shape of a hexagram on the exterior facade of any major shopping center, preferably Wal-Mart, located in the sprawl.
